LED turn signal bug to satisfy

LED turn signal bug to satisfy
Okay, next on my list of mini mods is hopefully to do some shorter LED turn signals front and rear on my 07' KLX. I have a solid state relay I can use to swap out the stock relay.
I want something very bright
I want something that does NOT have resistors
I want something someone else has already tried and knows how it worked out
I prefer something that will be suitable as a running light as well as I plan on doing a signal minder mod eventually too...
I do not care about clear or amber as long as they light up amber
I'm not fond of smoked because it decreases visibility
Round or angular are acceptable
I dont want something that is flush mount, just not as far out as stock and hopefully more flexible.
That's all, any one have this item on their bike and care to post a pic? (yes I've looked at the threads before, but I'm feeling lazy today and who knows what cool new stuff came out since then )

I put the stock lights back on after realizing that we need all the help we can get out there. Stock lights are 5 times brighter.
In this picture you can barely see the smaller ones I put on compared to the stock.
The proof is in the pudding........oh great now I want pudding.

Thanks for the response Deej, and useful pics. So which lights did you use that were so dim? This is exactly the reason for my question. I'd like to swap to LED's for power consumption purposes, because I want to turn my turn signals into running lights also, but I dont wanna do it unless I can be at least as bright or brighter than the stockers.
The stockers are okay at night, but during the day I'd like something a bit more irritating for drivers on their cell phones. Also I'd like something I'm less likely to snap off when I drop it in the woods. and I don't believe advertisers for a second when they talk about their 'super bright' LED's.
EMS I'd be scared no one would see the ones tucked under the rack at all.

Im barely on the road at all with my KLX. If i am its usually with a bunch of guys, and when im on it i always use hand signals also. I just need it to be street legal.

Yeah I ride alone on the street regularly in NJ where Mercedes and Lexus driving women holding their venti triple mocha half calf half skim frap in one hand are texting on the other hand with their blackberry's and yelling at their kids in the back seat, the women that dont drive one of those and holding a big gulp. Minimalism on visibility is just not an option for me. I've only had one guy cut me off... I followed him and gave him a polite piece of my mind... I told him I'd give him the rest of it next time

I can tell you that my 23 watt aftermarket cheapies from the MCsuperstore were not as bright as the stock 10 watt bulbs so wattage does not equal light output. Plus, the aftermarket incandescents often use a goofy bulb. I'm on my third bad bulb which must be why they sell the odd bulbs in 10-packs.
