Last Saturday
Another Saturday and of course another ride. 8:00am Bill and I meet at Doug,s(poodlenuts), in Cave Junction and we 3 meet Suzanne in O'brien by 8:30. From there we begin our adventure that would take us
into Northern Calif. and back and forth into Oregon again After climbing up to Waldo Hill lookout site we headed south into Calif. and onto Sanger Peak and Sanger Lake. The views were awesome, from Sanger Lake down Knopti creek rd. to hwy 199 west to Patrick ck rd up to High dome lookout site and down into Sourdough camp.Low on gas Doug and I went on ahead and waited at a predetermined location. Unknown to us the bmw gs650f had broken down and was being towed by Bill with his wr450f to the coast (west) and Doug and I were headed east. We waited and waited but no show. We were at that point with fuel that we could not go looking for them and it was getting dark.We decided to return to town get the truck and begin a search. As we were loading the truck to return for our friends We had gotten a message from our missing buddies that they had in fact broken down and was awaiting a call from
the tow truck driver. I offered the use of my truck, but I was to late the tow guy showed up,I was able to meet Bill in Gasquet a small town half way back from the coast. Wow what a day got back to town after 1:00am.
