Looks sweet!
Wish it was a little larger (I understand fitment constraints though) with the mileage these bikes get another .8 gallons should add about 50 much welcomed miles of extra range (give or take).

I'm in, order placed.

Looks ideal to me. I'd call that one a slam dunk! Maybe even one of those twisting behind the back Michael Jordan slams! Good job to Clarke for stepping up and making a 250S specific tank.

I got the other tank with the blemish, saved 50$, they said the shrouds will cover the scratch.

Looking at the picture, does anyone have an issue with the way the seat is bent up and away from the shrouds? Will this extra flex stress the seat plastic over time to the point of breaking?

As far as looks, what is everyone all goooey about? It looks like a bad fit with that gap IMVHO. Don't get me wrong, I still need one and will get the natural, but to say it 'looks' sweet or anything like that is a bit of a stretch. What it will DO is sweet. And I guess we can consider that gap a nice feul level guage. Maybe someone can come up with an accurate sticker for the shroud along that gap that will give feul level while on a stand ! OK, maybe not.....[8D]

For me, where I ride mostly in 2nd/3rd gear, I get an easy 40+/gallon with the 'forum mods' (that's the speedo with a 13 tooth front sprocket but the slightly bigger D606 rear tire...so I'm probably a couple percent off). With the 2.7 that will get me a LONG day in the woods or most DS runs without worrying about a fill up.

Gosh, I guess I should have used a more appropriate phrase, pardon me for not getting your okey doky on this verbiage beforehand.

Ahhh….never mind, I'm a sucker for a natural plastic tank and the fit looks pretty damn decent to me.

LOOKS SWEET! and should do an acceptable job.

I've added extended range tanks to many bikes over the years and every one of them has had various fit issues, that is to be expected when they are expanding the tank size, there is only so much room around the area that the tank is mounted and some things just have to give a little.
There is obviously support underneath the seat (the tank) which should prevent any damage.

For the most part this tank appears to be as well engineered and OEM looking as any I have seen, I am truly impressed with Clarke's effort.

I didn't ask for any okey dokeys as evidenced by 'IMVHO' (V = very) and didn't direct my comments at anyone in particular so please don't take it personal. I'll even go so far as to apologize. I was just wondering why a few had said it 'looked' sweet. It doesn't, unless you're comparing it to a 'just wrong green Acerbis' (don't flame me for that Acerbis guys, it's the wrong green). For my VRod, there is a 5 gallon tank available, up from 3.7, that fills every nook and cranny but doesn't bulge anything, and it's under the seat too. I'm still buying the Clarke tank and am glad theymade one that didn't require a bunch of mods. My tolerance for fit and finish on an offroad machine is a whole lot less....but I'd of payed a little more if they'd have lowered that part and filled in more difficult nooks and crannys down lower....an intangible lower center of gravity thing, I'm sure.

As far as the seat flex, I guess time will tell how it will hold up. As soon as someone installs one, I'd like to know how well supported it is or if the seat will bend when weighted.

Just an idea, cut the small lip of the shroud nearest to the seat off. This will leave a small strip of tank visible which you can view fuel level through. If it's a clean cut it should look fine.
