Default THE LACKAWANNA TRAIN TRACK RIDE

Had a great trail ride this morning with some of the good members of KF; Tumbleweed, Cool Change, 2K & Dive2you. A torrid pace was set by Tumbleweed, who has recently relocated from Oregon, the terrain consisted of an old rail bed, formerly the Lackawanna Railroads. The railroad stones being omnipresent, falling was not recommended. There were; woops, blackwater puddles, straights, fallen trees, and most spectacularly, large arched bridges over beautiful rivers & valleys (Tumbleweed has some photos to post) You had to be careful, especially when leading. The terrain changed quickly and the thorn bushes grabbed at you with amazing force (I have the scars to prove it) they actually tore Dive2you out of the saddle (naught but his pride injured LOL) I thank mynew found friends, this KLX club is a a fantastic way to meet new people and experience new things,it was a great ride and the weather was glorious.
Thanks again, it was a good warm up for "TGNR".

Torrid pace set by a 51 year old??....................... This was a great ride, with great people. Hope to get together again soon for more adventures like we had today. This is my first attempt at putting pictures on the forum. If it doesn't work I'll try again.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I met a bunch of good guys that I hope to ride more with over the summer. Thanks go off to Dave for clearing the prickers off the trail for the rest of us. Hopefully Tumbleweed will get the pics up.

A torrid pace is a bit of a understatement. jeff, tumbleweed, dave and his friend pete can flat out fly. If I wasn't with them the ride would have taken 1/2 the time. I was like a nickel holding up a five dollar bill.LOL I still had a great time, and look forward to riding with these great guys again.
