Default Krylon fusion paint for plastics or...?

I want to go ahead and paint a few things black on the bike and didn't find anything with a search about what paint to use. I saw the krylon fusion paint mentioned so I figured I would get your guys' take on it.

See if it is fuel proof on a sample part first.
I often wondered about this myself.

Ems did you use primer? How many coats of paint did it take before you were satisfied?

Nope no primer... I scrubbed them with degreaser, then alcohol to make sure they were really clean. Then i just sprayed. i think originally i only did one coat. But my bike gets sleepy alot and ends up on its side so i have touched up the side panels a few times. maybe once a year. I have black KX250 fork guards now.

i used that paint on my fork guards, top headlight fairing(09+) and side panels. i did it when i first got the bike back in 09 and they still look great. all i did was take the stickers off and clean with rubbing alcohol. i don't remember how many coats i did, but i'm thinking half a dozen thin coats or more. it took a bit of time but it was worth it.

Wet sanded 400 and 800, Black Krylon Fusion, U-POL Clear #1 UV resistant clear coat on mine. Looks like car paint, makes the Krylon fuel resistant.
