More throttle isn't needed when the engine can handle the load. I find it more enjoyable riding a bike where the engine isn't straining and needing to be spooled up.
It's just my own personal riding style. You're as free to ride any way you wish as I am.

Tooter.... clearly you know plenty about bikes, mods, and your own riding preferences. I just wanted apologize that greychinos feels like he has to correct you and impress everyone with his mansplaining. Everyone has a style and fast isn't for everyone. I've rode crusiers, street bikes, and now only a klx 230s and I also don't need a random stranger trumpeting his preferences like they are the only way to go. I applaude your responses and thank you for your knowledge.
