KLX300 - "Unmuzzled" Power Charts Needed.
#201
For example I attack hill climb with wide open throttle. It's not fun when power suddenly drops at 7500rpm but your engine keeps revving.
From my experience running unrestricted ecu - it's night and day in the upper rev range.

The US KLX bikes do not have the detune past 7500 rpm from what I can tell. That does not mean the timing is optimal for power, my bike with a couple mods pulls well between 5500 rpm and 8500 rpm. It will over rev to 9500 Ok if needed.

USA klx250 do have detune at 7500 and klx300 do have detune at 8000. You won't get 30+hp with standard ECU.

Looks like my posts are not clear. My ECU is NOT flashed. I use OEM unrestricted ecu.
If you want learn something I encourage you to read through my thread where I was adding mods and dyno each of them.

Current set up with 31 hp on the dyno:
- OEM Kawasaki klx250 ECU for japanese market (JDM)
- piggyback fuel controller
- full exhaust
- open airbox

Don't confuse soft rev limiter (8000rpm) where ecu starts cutting ignition and stops making power and hard rev limiter (10000rpm) after which engine doesn't rev.

Dyno numbers are just that. Numbers,,, all dyno sessions are different so they really mean nothing to me. I don’t need to read through your thread because it really doesn’t matter to me if it makes 25 or 31. There is just not enough power available for the money you need to spend. Might as well buy a bigger bike to be begin with. JMO that’s all
I like my bike the way it is. No reason to spend even more for not much return that can never really be proven. Again IMO
