klx250sf tires

I love my Pirelli diablo rosso 2 tires, super sticky & good in the rain. They also made the handling a lot firmer & more predictable on fast corners! Absolutely night & day when comparing them to the stock IRC's. I'm very impressed.
I just about squeezed a 140/70/17 on the back end!!! I don't believe 150 would fit, as I have got mm's to spare & the tire very slightly rubs on the inside of my FMF Q4 with a passenger on-board or going over bumpy terrain. BTW I can't feel it rubbing when it happens but can see black tire rubbing marks on the exhaust!

In Thailand I get no choice with things like pads, tires, chain/sprockets etc. What ever is in stock or available has to be bought! I had originally ordered from Bangkok some Pirelli sport demons, then I was told some Continental Contiforce SuperMoto tires we're coming to Phuket instead, which I quite fancied. Then at the last minute my tire shop got a set of Pirelli diablo rosso 2's. I had no choice except for another pair of IRC's from my Kawa dealership....no thanks.....but i'll take the Pirelli's which are great. To anyone in the US or UK, think yourselves lucky with the ease & choice you have with bike spares......I was lucky this time, with what I ended up with! lol

Reviving this thread for the SF/W. My 2009 is going to need tires soon. It still has the stock IRC tires on it, and they've never failed me, even in knee down SuperMoto. Any reason to not buy more of the same? They're certainly inexpensive!
IRC $105/set
Dunlop GPR300 $164/set
Dunlop Q3+ (total overkill, IMHO) $320/set
Thanks, all!

If you like how a tire works for you absolutely do another set. I've run Duro dual sport tires for twenty years and around 40,000 miles on my KLX650, because they worked great - in spite of what anyone else might say. I am intelligent enough in my riding to know what is working for the way I ride... which included running with friends on their supermotos, sport bikes, and dual sports. Can't recommend them for your use, they don't make the sizes you need, just saying if the IRC tires work for you, use 'em..
