KLX250sf / D-Tracker fork swap?

Hey, in Sri Lanka if you would like to get a brand new KLX or something similar, you would
pay 6000$ or more. Import taxes.
Secondly, nobody even brings brand new machines here so you would have to organize
the transport from Japan or Singapore yourself.
We get only second hand machines

Interesting - these guys in the States don't know how good they have it!!!!
It's almost the opposite here - imported bikes are subject to Gov't tax of about 300% (no joke) and I wissssssh we could get second hand bikes - as much as I do love the KLX, a WR450/XR650R etc would be an ace choice for an urban warrior.....lol
Back on topic here with some blue sky dreaming for my ideal forks.....

If the bike is to be used on the street only and you are an average rider proper adjustment and a few small tweeks is all you would need. If you have a higher than average skill level and will really ride it hard then a revalve would be necessary but the bike isn't too bad in totally stock form as I'm too heavy and have a racing back ground but I old and I have made no changes to the fork and have none planned soon as it ain't what slows me down.

Good advice Linkin - I know I am getting a bit ahead of myself.......and lets say realistically it will be 90% street - maybe re-valving will be all that is needed.
I just have champagne taste with a beer budget lol........and wish I could buy a plated KLX450R for around 10K like back home in Oz........
Cheers again for the response!!
