I got one for my gf and finaly got all the lowered forks and shocks installed a couple weeks ago. I was able to compare it to a sf with a jet kit and slip on exh installed. I can highly recomend them as lower cost mods that will noticibly increase power and acceleration. I have a 250s that came with bigbore FCR and Full exh upgrades on it when I got it. Until recently it was the only KLX I had ever ridden and I did not understand people complaing about lack of performance. Now that I have had a go at two other setups I can tell you that although its a chunk of change the performance upgrade is undeniable. I challenge you to find someone on this forum that did the 351 or other upgrade and does not consider it money well spent.

Oh yeah welcome.
Cheers Jim

I honestly think that the $550 for a full exhaust and the $65 or so for a dynojet kit was not worth it on my 2009 250s. I would have rather done big bore and pumper carb. Going from 250 to 350 is a HUGE jump.

Course I think they should start making the KLX 650 again but I'll just have to settle for my 93 model.

My '09 klx250sf is much improved with slip on exhaust, and jet kit. Really opened 'er up and now more fun to ride! That said, today I ordered the 351 kit.

ha sweet sounds good. i think i should probably break my bike in first.. i got it like a week ago and it has probably a grand total of 50 miles. i did order a slip on fmf the other day, i gave in. i had to order it, i was tired of the bike sounding like a scooter.

i think after i break it in and what not, im getting a new filter, carb and probably powerbomb header. good start?

Break it in? Heck I did the Big Bore kit with only 250 miles on mine and I am estatic about the results and increase in power and performance. Bike this light that can run the road and go on single track with this kind of power and response should be illegal!!!!

haha thats crazy! well its not like i have my endorsement yet anyways i was schudled for next week to take the class but the school that was offering it was super busy and i couldnt get through for like for 4 days and so when i finally got a hold of them all the classes were filled until the 8th of next month. so i still have a while before i need to go faster than 50mp. but i would like to see what the power is throughout the whole rpm range than just up to 4 grand. haha

so the big bore is the 350 right? hows the mpg since you put that on?

Well that I really do not know we are still in winter here but today it was almost 60 deg F

I suspect it will drop to around 50 MPG. The way I have been riding it maybe less I have a bad habit of really getting on it.

Well when you get it ride the bike the way it is get to know how to ride it and how to handle it before jumping up to the BB kit.

aww yea that can stop a person from riding. ha

that really doesnt sound to bad, i mean for such a huge increase in power it sounds pretty worth it.
yea, i won't be buying it anytime soon anyways, i still have 2600 to pay of on the bike and im going to be jobless in about 2 weeks. so..
