thanks for the info. i think i might upgrade from the xr200 to a klx250s so i can cruise 55mph on the back highways. the xr200 is dual sported but i think its top speed is about 55mph.

nonono, own a xr200r 1997 model or watever yr it is, still wont compete wif klx 250s. those r old school back then, under power unless heavily modded. my 2 cents.

The RFVC XR 200 is a totally different animal than the XR 200 that most of you are familar with. In my first post I wasn't sure how many years they made them. After some research I found out it was only made for two years 1984 and 1985 so a 1990 would not have been a RFVC XR200. RFVC stands for radial four vale combustion (chamber). It had dual carbs and pipes and was a full sized bike with full suspension travel, and would totally smoke your run of the mill two valve XR200 in every way. Those bikes would have been pretty close performance wise against a TOTALLY STOCK KLX250s assuming that the riders drag racing them were equal in weight, skill, reflex's,tires, gearing, etc. Don't get me wrong, as I said above the KLX has way more potential, but as far as 200cc air cooled four strokes go the RFVC XR 200 was in a league of it own.

Just for a comparison my friends 85 XL250r (RFVC) and my KLX. You'll love the bike but the seat sucks compared to the XR.

Those XR seats are pretty nice. My buddy's XR600's seat is really comfortable. I wish our seats had just a little more cushioning.
