There are 2 sets of specs for the Ninja 250R and 2 for the Yamaha WR250R. Are these different years? The specs don't match and differ pretty significantly in some areas.

Two different magazines. The Ninja 250R models should both be '08s, not sure why the difference. The first WR250R listed might be an '09 model, not sure if there are any differences.

That will be probably late in the summer if I do it. I still have to break it in, and running the 1/4 mile is not high on my priority list of things I want to do with my bike. But if and when I do, I'll be sure to post the timeslips.

ego/brand /power trip.
hp..torque..weight..depends on terrain..riding style etc. Give me 750 hp at the rear wheel if you cannot get it to the ground your sucking wind.

Who knows, it was pretty close. Reaction times, rider skills, etc. Also what is the sprocket gearing difference on the R and X?

That fuel mileage for the KLX has gotta be wrong, as does the 230's.
Absolute waste of time comparing the new WR to the KLX - they are two totally different bikes.
I would have loved a WR, but not at NZ$4000 (US$2500) more! I don't feel that the WR should be THAT much more expensive - damn exchange rates!
