I ordered the Dual Star flashing LED tail light today. It's made for the KLR650 but it's a direct fit for many other bikes (I have one on my Bonneville America too).

I measured the KLX tail light internals last night and it should be no problem.

This unit is expensive but it's the brightest and most noticable I've ever seen on a bike. Way better than those cheapo replacement LED bulb clusters.

I get many positive comments from my riding buds on this unit. It's a small price to pay for not getting rear ended at a traffic light. Plus it saves watts!

Oh Scatt, sorry, OTD for me was a little more since I added the 4 year extended warranty for $400.00. And also I put a few items on the initial purchase through Kawasaki credit to get the lower interest rate. I have a card coming from Kawasaki, but any other purchases on it from here on out are at 17.99% So it's safe to say I won't be using it ever again. The base cost was $4700.00 and Plus setup and some other fee, plus tax. Here is a cost breakdown for mine.

While there is a Freight charge and a handling fee, you can't avoid the tax, so I would say that unless you didn't opt for the $440.00 4 year warranty and the other stuff I bought, it would be right around $5600 OTD

Total unit price $4709.00
Freight chg $200.00
Handeling Fee $175.00
Service Contract 4yr $440.00
License & Title Fee $50.00
Accessories $758.30
8.3% Tax $530.77

Hey Todd, let me know if the led you bought fits and is easy to install, I might go that direction too.[sm=goodidea.gif]

Thanks for the info,Im 6foot 245Lbs and i was a little leary if it had enough grunt but it sounds like it should be ok with a few modes. My last bike was a XR600R i loved the power but i hated the wieght in tight trails and im not as young and spry as i used to be 40 soon. From the research i have done it appears the suspension can be dialed in for quit spectrum of wieghts. Thanks again.
