RE: KLX250s SM rims
5.0 V8 is what killed the turbo4 motors the price of the SVO didn't help either! By the way I always like the Capri looks better with the wide 1/4's and front fenders!

The 5.0 capri and mustang lx used to dominate the 1/4 mile back in the 80's especially being lighter than the GT with all the extra body plastics.

give up? I-G-N-O-R-A-N-C-E
No, the I-4 EFI turbos that Ford made in the 80's are not the fastest, but they are among some of the rarest cars built by ford in recent times. FYI, the '86 SVO would smoke it's GT counterpart. With 14psi of turbo boost being intercooled, not much could hang with it. My RS had the same basic engine albeit no intercooler and a little more mild factory turbo boost at 10. If you look at the '84 RS Turbo engine and and SVO engine, there is no visible difference other than the intercooler sitting on top of the turbo in the SVO. They both came with an AiResearch turbo (same type that Lotus' used) and forged pistons, etc.But you can check Ford's production records, the '84 RS Turbo is a very rare car indeed with exclusives made only for that car, that not even Mustangs or other Capri's got.

Owning both cars a 86 gt and a 86 svo you couldn't be more wrong! In a straight line the 8 would just walk away every time. When we use to race them the 4 would mph in the mid to high 80's, and the 8 would be in the low 90's these were stock for stock! Mph is a true indicator ofhorsepower not et! This is what I race now 8.02 169mph on true street tire no bar!

Any status on the Ninja wheels?

The Procycle set looks pretty decent. I'm thinking about going that route.
