KLX250S Purchase?

RE: Possible KLX250S Purchase
I went and got the bike tonight. Got to ride about 40 miles. It is going to be a lot of fun.
Only questions I've got is how in the world can you keep this thing under 4000 rpm and not get run over on the street. I had to ride it around 4500 just to barely do the speed limit. There is no way I can do this for another 500 miles.

Yes it is a 2007, which made the deal even better.
Went out today and rode aboout 30 miles on the road. It rides really smooth compared to the XR250L I used to have. I am ready to hit the throttle hard but I will try to keep it around 4,000 rpm for awhile.

Don't worry about keeping the RPM's at 4000. Just Ride like you normally would never keeping the RPM at one spot for too long. and dont forget to change your oil and filter for the first time at around 100-150miles. I have 1300Kms on mine and love it more every time I ride!!!

Carp, congrats on the new bike, wait till you see the stares you get in heavy traffic from people seeing a dirt bike sitting beside them and plenty of thumbs up from others(probably wishing they were on one too)
