KLX250S plastics from Maier Manufacturing
Hey guys,
I sent an e-mail a few days ago to Maier Mfg asking them to support the KLX250S by making plastics for us, i.e., side panels, shrouds, etc. While some KLX300R parts fit, the left side panel and shrouds are notably different. Anyway, they sent me an e-mail back stating that they would forward the request on up the chain. I'm thinking that if they get enough requests, maybe they'll support us. If you are interested in plastics that are about 1/4 the cost of OEM Kawasaki plastics, please go to their web site at http://www.maier-mfg.com and click on "Company", "Contact", then click on the Feedback "Click here" link. There you can fill out a short feedback form and ask them to support our bike.
I have the Maier KLX300R MX style rear fender and the quality is every bit as good or better than OEM. This would be a great source to replace broken shrouds, fenders, etc, not to mention that they typically offer several colors so folks can perhaps finally get the black side panels that seem so popular. But they aren't going to do it unless there is business justification, i.e., unless they see a demand for it. So let them know you want it and they will most likely make it.

RE: KLX250S plastics from Maier Manufacturing
Done.
It sounds like you got a lot further than I did, Brian. I called them several months ago and was told that they are not doing any new developments for dirt bikes. I am hoping that the rep that I talked to was just misinformed.
Thanks for getting this started. Please everyone, support this effort by leaving feedback.

Comments: We as a group in case you haven't noticed yet are requesting or should I say suggesting that you might consider looking into plastics for our rapidly growing community of KLX250S owners. Thanks in advance. Looking forward to working together. Deric Kettel
