Default KLX250s new owner

I'm finally legal to drive my KLX250s on the public roads. And I love the bike so far. It has great power, a little under power for the interstate, but not planning on driving on the interstate. Already have new tires on order, Kenda K270 3.00x21 & 4.50x18. I do have a problem tripping stoplights with the bike. I remember reading about the stoplight tripper on this fourm. I may have to invest into one those $10 magnets. And my high-speed wheel wobble seems to be fixed, I'm blaming the compersion dampers being not in sync. I've already filled it up for the firsttime and averaged 64mpg.

I'm pleased and the KLX250 hasn't disappointed me. I'll be enjoying the ride more. Also, a bright hunter's orange vest grabs attention of other drivers. All the more to keep me alive.

The compression clickers not in sync side to side will not affect anything. You can set them different, ie 2 on one 3 on the other for a 2.5 net. There are numerous bikes that have only compression dampening in one leg & only rebound dampening in the other leg.

I belive the high speed wobble is from the stock tires. I and some others have also had it, and it seems to disappear after a 100 miles or so.

Just put the kickstand down and then back up, works for me every time. Of course you will have to memorize each stoplight and where the sweet spot is, but for me that's easy since we only have one stoplight. [8D]

Sorry deej, I go through too many stop lights to pull that trick at each one. And every one did hold red until another car pulled along side me. First problem to find, and its nothing wrong with the bike just with the traffic lights. I'm currently looking into Signal Sorcerer Traffic Light Trippers. Their website indicate Cycle Gear is one of their dealers, so its something I will check out, along with theriding gear the store has to offer.

I used to have the same problem at lights with my sport bike, it sucks. Get used to making right hand turns at lights

I don't want to sound like a smart a$$ but I usually just run them. I'm sure that I will get in trouble some day, but if I don't get the turn light I check both ways and when oncoming traffic clears, GO. Obviously some risk involved with this approach, so proceed at your own risk.

+1 on that, if the stoplight doesnt change for me then i just consider it a stop sign and proceed with caution.
