Thats the best advice yet. I've seen nice model year 2000 and up for $1200-$1600 range. In the long run, between mods you need and parts you'll break MX'ing it, you will have that much into it.

Also remember, depending what type of tracks you will be running, the klx doesn't have the power delivery that a mx bike needs.

This is one of the silliest things I've ever seen.

First of all take the damn mirror off...in all my days, I've never seen someone with a mirror MXing

But more importantly, this bike was not made to fly................................AT ALL. Not only from a structurely sound stand point, but simply from the ergonomics. This thing does not handle at all like a MX bike.

It also does not have the power you need. You will ruin this bike and yourself. Its your business of course, but you got on here asking what we think, and I think you lost a few marbles........seriously.

Like also said above, have you done this before? You don't just go out onto a MX track and start hitting stuff, espeically with this bike.

And lastly, as once again stated before, go buy a cheap 125..you can get them for next to nothing if you shop around and are willing to haggle.

This is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen someone do with our poor little KLX

You will definitely at least need to stiffen the springs.

I have stock suspension on my 07 with everything tight as possible, and it still bottoms out even on small jumps.

This is about the biggest I've done (still small) and I bottomed out both front and back with the landing. I didn't even land that hard..

You're not going to be doing 60ft gaps on that bike.. But if you attempt, we don't want pics, we want VIDEOS!!

Please invest in one of those 150 dB Stebel horns also. Plus a video camera.

even sending out the suspension and getting full race suspension...and even putting in the 350 cc kit, and whatever else........its just makeup on an old lady.

I enjoy my ride, but I don't take it on the MX/FMX track. Take it from someone whos done that kind of stuff. This bike, doesn't fit there.

But yeah if you do it, i wanna see vids or it didn't happen!

Werd. The KLX is a great trail bike, and great on the road. Occasional jumps are fun, but if that's your main focus, you bought the wrong bike.
