...It has a tendency to fall over and not from just the pad sinking in the ground. Even parked on hard pavement it doesn't take much of a push for the bike to fall over. Any fixes out there?
Hey EAS,

The first "mod" that I did to mine, an '07, was to cut a 1" piece of pine... (cause it's soft), and drilled out the foot base for a brass screw to hold the wood that I inserted into the top of the concave area of the foot. This allowed me to mount the bike using the foot peg, rather than to throw the leg over the side to mount the bike. All of my buddies say, "No way would I mount that thing using the footpegs!" It works for me though. I've been pleased with the additional 1" elevation.

Just when I thought I was done showing off my invention, this thread comes up.

Here's what I use, it fits in the pelican case.
Also available: Custom seal saver fork brace. Call for market price.

I don't believe this forum!!

Hey Deej,

I have been wanting to make one of these "thingy-ma-jigs"!

Since you have already figured it out for me... how about sending the measurements on the support that you have made. I always have to "tow" my KLX on the MotoTote carrier behind my Ford Van. I also have to "torque" it down much more than I'd like, so your "Thingy-ma-jig" is my solution.

Please share the dimensions with us. (I'm sure that some amount of compression on the forks is desireable.)

Thanks,
