Default KLX250S Kickstand Too Short

Is it just my bike or does anyone else have a problem with the kickstand? If I'm woods or track riding, I don't dare rely on the kickstand to hold the bike up. It has a tendency to fall over and not from just the pad sinking in the ground. Even parked on hard pavement it doesn't take much of a push for the bike to fall over. The problem seems either in the angle of the bend in the kickstand or its length is too short. Any fixes out there?

i dont have any problems..... you could bolt/weld something to the bottom of it as a spacer.

On my 300 I cut it and added about 1/2-3/4", then powder coated it. For most occasions it is much better but sometimes you have the opposite effect of it being too long and off road Ihave to kit out a little dirt.Overall I do like it better.

I think it's more an issue of leverage or "angle of attack" so to speak.
The stand should go out more... Mine didn't like to stand up either, but I lowered the bike and now she sits just right.

Lowered my stand was too long, back at stock height with a 110 Michelin rear tire and its too short to be steady on anything but flat ground.

Strange you mention this. I find that mine seems a little too tall because any suspension sag cause it to want to tip over on the non-kickstand side. Off road, it seems too tall.

However, as mentioned above it seems like the kickstand doesn't go out far enough so, there isn't enough lean on the kickstand side.

I always thought mine was a little on the short side as well.
