klx250s HID kit. anyone??
Does anyone have a HID kit for their klx250? i ordered mine a couple days ago and it should be here today or tomorrow. i just wanted to see if anyone had any problems installing them, i don't know why they would but still. I think i got a pretty good deal on mine, i payed 60 for the full kit, slim balisc, and the one with the small bulb that clicks back and forth between high and low beam.

I had one, bought it off ebay don't recall the name brand but it had a lightning bolt on the box about 130$. Was it bright YES did people notice me more absolutley is it now broken of course. The problem was if my bike took more than a few cranks to get started the battery voltage would drop enough to extinguish the HID. This would also happen if I stalled on the trail. I would have to rev the bike and flick the key off/on and it would relight. It's a tight fit even with the small ballast so be patient and get a timer relay.

I had one for a very short while. When I did have it, it was major bright. Best lighting for night driving. But I had a few short comings. One of them was that I could not get the lo and hi beam set right. I can get one right, but the other would be either point into the dirt or aiming for the sky. Second short coming was a relay failed and would no longer ingnite the bulb. So to keep it simple, I went back to the SilverStar bulbs. Thou I have been looking at the HID kit offered from xtralights.com. If I read correctly, thier ballasts have an auto re-ingnite if the bulb should go out when voltage drops too much.

Have not had a single problem with my HID kit. It was completely plug and play except for hooking it to the battery. My aim for high and low is perfect too. Guess I got lucky. Back to installing my big bore kit!

yea well i got mine in the mail today and installed it tonight! man it sure is bright! its super nice compared to stock that is for sure, but it was a huge pain getting it in and mounting the ballasts. well will see how it holds up, hopefully it does cuz i will be doing alot of night riding in the next couple months, so i want to make sure that other driver's can see me
