KLX250s Handlebar Help Please...
#11
I have the KX high bend and couldn't be happier; I ride a lot of trails and at the desert 100 spent just about the whole time standing. if I had a little longer body I would put on some bar risers. I am only 5'8 but my reach and legs are the same for someone 6'2

Despite some dims, there is no standard, so no consistency or accuracy in specifying bars. In other words, not enough info is ever given to where you could model a bar in CAD.
I find it near impossible to buy bars on the`net as a result. I'm super picky about ergonomics and effect of hand placement on handling, so it is a misery to buy bars. I don't like to throw money at the problem by ordering multiple bars.
Local shops often carry so little inventory that choosing by direct comparison is also a problem. Just tried to do that with the KLX and walked away, no sale, because all the bars were too wide in the outer-upper bends, forcing the controls to be pushed outward. Nobody lists that dimension that I know of!
And now we have all the ATV stuff and motocross 1" crossbarless designs that don't apply to the traditional 7/8" bars, further reducing inventory we can look at that applies.
This has force me in the past to just buy the OEM bars because I know what I'm getting.
Anyone know a web site that really shows bar bends fully, as in all the details?

Hey Deej if you want a 2" lift. look into some MSR Dominator bars. and go with the KX high bar. my dad and i have them on our bikes and we love them almost similar to the stock bars. i needed some bar risers only because i am 6'4"
