KLX250S 47 Tooth Rear?
#2
I'm running that setup. It's a tiny bit lower than just installing a 13T up front, and I like the first and second gear results in real off road conditions. My Vapor tach isn't hooked up right at the moment, so it's hard to tell what's happening at speed. My Vapor speedo is calibrated right on the money, and 60-65 is about all I want to cruise at on pavement by the sound of the engine. I think the 13T is more popular as an all around gear switch for both some dirt and a good bit of pavement, but I find you have to go to first gear too much in some tight stuff for my preference. 14/47 makes second gear useable over a very wide range of conditions, leaving first for those tractor pulls up loose, gnarly climbs. Gearing can be very preferential and be very terrain specific. For more wide open terrain, the 13/42 would be fine for me.
