I was just at the Honda dealer and they said Honda has no plans to bring in any new dual sports to the U.S. any time soon.. That is why the Honda dealer has expanded and started to carry Husqvarna line to fill the void of not having dual sports and super motos to offer. I know Honda has the 650 but it needs a 250,450 dual sport to this growing market! Is there any way to convince hon, yam, suz, kaw, to bring their dual sports here to the states so we can also enjoy them!!!

That bike has been available forever here in Japan. I chose the KLX because of the water cooling.

That ad is just announcing a color scheme change for 2007.

I guess it is an older design then. It's great that we have Tremor to let us know whats going on in Japan. If they were ever going to import the bike they would have already done it. It's an air cooled XR. It would be nice to have some of the other big 4 come out with some comp for our KLX.

Just curious, but why don't they sell their dual sports in the states, is their no profit for them here. Seems like a lot of people have the KLX, don't understand why Honda just wouldn't import their own dual sports rather then adopt huskies for that purpose?

I got to tell you guys, even though I ran the CR125R for years and it was bullet proof, I really like the looks of our KLXs over the Honda XRs, they just look old school..and operate old school too..ie air cooled etc...)

I'm quite happy with the KLX once its opened up a bit...

Me too. I seem to like my KLX more every time I ride it. I must admit though when I first started shopping I looked at Honda first because that what we had growing up. But Honda didn't have anything like what I was looking for and in fact the KLX was really the only bike around that fit the specs I wanted and with a nearby dealer. Honda lost a sale, Kawasaki made one, and most likely a long-term customer because I'll be more inclined to buy Kawasaki now. Especially if they keep making updates - like a KLX450S in a few years.

Here is my favorite dual sport that never made the US.The CRM250. Yes it IS a two stroke.

Suzuki & Yamaha have 250cc dual sports in other markets too.
