varys a lot for me. if i do a ton of slab i can get 60 or so, but in some offroading situations, i have gotten as low as 40. even with the extra capacity of the acerbis tank, i still find times i have to change over to reserve (and its a bitch with this tank).

 

When I'm costing down a hill with the engine off, I get really good gas mileage.

I have been getting 55mpg with a 50\50 mix of road and trail until this weekend. I could only get 30-35 miles til reserve out on the dunes at the Little Sahara.

 

I just started keeping track recently so I don't have an off road amount, but in the city I get 70mpg and 60mpg 2up. I am 140lbs 6' and the lady is 100 5', if that helps. Bike is totally stock.

 

I've got about 600 miles on my '09 KLX 250S and it is all stock. I ride 100% on the road, commuting to and from work. Most roads are 35-50 mph. All the tanks of gas I've run thus far, I've gotten a low of 85 mpg and a high of 96 mpg. The 96 mpg was on a trip to and from Toledo from Detroit (all on a 50-55 mph road) with a few lights and then about 15 miles of city traffic. These numbers are calculated by taking the ODO reading and dividing by the amount of gas put into the tank, to approximately the same fill level.

 

119.4 miles on a tank. Ask me how I know. That's probably 60/40 street/trail riding.

 

I get about 82 mpg but that is per imperial gallon so probably less per US gallon.

 

I get about 62 mpg on the street with the mods that I have listed below. Before the mods when it was bone stock, it got the exact same mileage.
