Default klx250 electric starter problem

Help is neaded
I have installed an electric starter kit on my klx250e
but from some reason the bike wont start with the electric start,
it starts and runs great with the kick but wont start with the starter.
the electric starter turns the engine and cranks good but it does not start,
I have checked the ignition and it seems there
is no spark when I turn the starter but there is when I kick it ,
Help is neaded, any suggestions,
what did I get wrong?

I'm just guessing but if there is spark present with the kick start and not with the electric starter it sounds like it may have something to do with a safety switch, i.e. side stand ,clutch or neutral.

side stand and clutch circuit have been by passed
the engine starts with kick and in the same conditions
does not start with electrical.
could it be some residual grounding conflicts from the
starter, or my be stator, CDI problems?

does any one installed a starter kit on klx 250 /300?

Sounds like a weak stator, because you are actually turn the engine over faster and with more force with the kicker. Try and jump start it with a larger capacity battery more rpms more stronger of a spark.

I wonder if the starter kit came with a way to energize the ignition======I dont have a klx250e wiring diagram====but I am thinking that the kickstart system has a trigger that fires up the ignition when its kicked====if thats the case===you could wire a switch that energizes the coil or whatever is not being activated by the starter and is being activated by the kickstart=======I recently had a bad ground on my starter and it cranked 100 rpm slower than normal====the bike wouldnt start unless I compression started it====mine is a klx250s===electric only===anyways I ran a wire straight from the negative battery post to the starter motor bolt on the case of the starter====I waterproofed the connection====and the bike cranks so fast its almost idling on the starter ====keep us posted=====I am a automotive electrical specialist and I eat electrical problems for breakfast

The wiring diagram I have (2009 I think) shows a crankshaft sensor & throttle sensor wired before the ignition coil. I don't think my 2007 has this? You do not indicate what yr your talking about.
I would run a live wire from the switch to the ignitor directly if the wiring yoiu have tests dead. Sounds like an elec wiriing problem, not grounding or other issue as it is running.

What is a "KLX250DE" exactly? Just curious. Is it what I see callled a DTracker, available only in Asia some years ago?

Regarding your problem: did you have a working bike before painting the frame, with the DE motor? If yes, then I suggest you re-check the connections, grounding, etc. Check also the pickup coil impedance, should be 200-250 ohm. If it's all good, it might be time for testing the cdi or ignition coil.

If your engine conversion occured at the same time as painting, meaning you never had the DE engine working in your bike before, this is another story. Among other things, you must ensure to use electronics (cdi, rectifier) that is compatible with the DE.

the numbers on my chassis are LX250E-301023 and on the motor is LX250DE and on the side of the head is D1. from this how can i find the year of bike so that i can find a wiring diagram to check wiring on my bike.. This bike has a large square headlamp and electric start only..but on side of motor is a black plug for a kick starter conversion id say.

The bike and engine sounds basically much like the '06/'07 we got here in the U.S.
