292CC Cyl with 260CC/min inj is like original 249Cc cyl coupled with 220CC/min inj, adding free flow exhaust with KDX200 snorkel and a twin air filter and slightly more fueling is needed.
A 2,5kOhm NTC thermistor in series to the original IAT NTC fitted inside the airbox fool the ecu thinking a colder air is actually sucked (near 10°C colder) adding a little more fuel to the mixture (5%).

Do you have a picture of your installation? If you don't, that's ok as I think I get your idea that the thermistor ~also~ has to be within the airbox along with the original one in order to ~also~ sense the intake air temprature. I'm going to do this just like you did.

you are right, NTC must be put in the airbox, i placed mine on the side before air filter, it's fitted through a drilled 5mm hole then sealed with RTV silicone.

The closest Thermistor I can find is 2K OHM. It's nicely encapsulated and has leads on it. Would that work? Do you know what percentage mixture richening that would yield?

It will give a slightly less enriching , nothing to worry about.
OK, so.... IMO, one could use the potientometer to dial in exactly the ohms at the exact temp, then order a correct thermistor for you exact bike. Just a suggestion.
