KLX wont start.

Yep, what i though, there was no clearance between the bucket and the cam, on the intake side, exhaust was good. So i had to adjust the valves. Just need to stop and borrow my dads torque wrench to get it all back together.
But why it was weird to me is that it was fine one ride then the next ride just wouldnt start, before when the valve clearances were getting tight it slowly got hard to start. Not this time.

Mine haven't been checked in like since 5000 miles. I'm at 14,200 now and the bike starts instantly, and has the same power it did from the start. Weird. I told you guys a long time ago, that a clean bike runs better longer....just saying. LOL

EMS, the fact the hard starting comes on suddenly apparently isn't odd. I've read quite a few threads with symptoms just like this. Folks are riding their bikes one day with no issue, and the next time they go out to start their bike...won't start...or really has to be putzed with a great deal to fire up. And I see this on many different brands and models, so apparently not specific to the KLX. The thing I find odd is that most of these are 4-valve head models, and you'd think that at least one of the intake valves would still offer enough flow to start the engine...but...there must be a magical engineering point that when one valve reaches that closure point, the fuel/air flow balance is disrupted enough to cause really hard starting...and apparently it's just a micron of adjustment that causes that one valve to crap in the starting mess kit. Tremor has a point from some of the history you hear on KLX's and other brands/models. If you start having frequent adjustment requirements on the same valve(s), the valves are probably shot. That said, if you last adjusted an exhaust valve and now you need to do an intake valve...well...you may not have an issue. Just keep track of how often you're having to adjust the same valve.
How many miles on your KLX?

The very edge of the valve perimeter bends forward, or maybe I should say 'downward' in relation to its orientation to the engine, as the valve seats further and further into the head. Doesn't really look much like a mushroom, but that's the $10.00 word.
