503 miles on the bike and the tires are well worn in the center, esp the rear. I lubed the chain about a week before.

Well looks like you take great care of your klx. Appears that your bars came out of it ok as well?

I show the wife her bent bars every now and then to buy new stuff Hahaha!

Good thing it was just a little mishap. And you were smart enough to be wearing protective gear.

Any accident you can walk away from is a good accident. Repent and learn from it.

Patches of windblown sand (like we have here in the West) will do the same damn thing. I have NO desire to ride the twisties through the mountains here in WA. There's usually a creek or river at the bottom of every canyon! MaverickAus. . . thanks for the background on tallow. . . interesting stuff!

hey good to hear you're okay and the klx isn't too bad either. despite what others say, any accident or getoff is substantial imo. I've been there done that with a broken back, scapula, ribs, head injury (thanks Shoei X-9 for saving my life from that fencepost and barbwire) and a helicopter ride back in '96 on my new GSX-R when a lady failed to signal and turned into me as I passed her.
If you ride a motorcycle, you've either been down or you're going down at some point. Simple as that.
get well soon.
