KLX vs DRZ400

We get both models over here and the lighter, faster, more powerful E model outsells the S model 10 fold easily. Anyone serious about off-road gets the E model, tourers buy the S.

Must be why I have a "S", that and it is what I found at the local shop.
I don't know if the new "E" is sold here or not, I will ask tuesday.

Joel, "more nimble and initial acceleration better" Kinda what I thought and said also why I will be keeping the KLX

I have a buddy that has a well set up DRZ and it will pull the klx about anywhere. The tighter the stuff the more equal the bikes become but he has more wheel pulling power than I do at any point.

Despite advertised claims on both models, I'll bet the DS 400 Suzuki is about 40 pounds heavier than the KLX. The 400 is a very solid, reliable bike with some decent power. It's not that great off road...but better than a KLR650 off road. If you're just a dirt road, smoother 2-track kind of rider, then the Suzuki is probably a better choice than the KLX. If you're going to be riding any decently rough terrain, the KLX is the better choice. Everything's a compromise.

This thread was comparing big bore KLX and stock bore DRZ right. What big bore are you running Linkin that the DRZ pulls you everywhere? If you are running stock bore I can understand.
