My son-in-law busted his wrist a couple months ago, when he totaled his sport bike. After surgery, he somehow talked them into putting a soft brace on his hand instead of a cast. Should help with recovery quite a bit since he gets to take it off every now and then and wiggle his fingers a little.
Hope you recover quickly, and completely. Practice your tuck-and-roll in the mean time...

Its a PITA to type with one hand! Actuall it is to do anything with onpy one hand. Haha
Doc said i messed it up worse this time. Said not to do it agin or he may have to do reconstructive and harvest some ligament from my arm ti weave in. Needless to say that's a bit scary
He said i should be good to go though. One week with the cast down, five to go.

I fiured i'd link in case you're eating breakfast or something. That pin goes through the thumb bones to hold still while heaiing. That will be pulled out when the cast comes off.
