BUM BUSTER
1. Remove seat.
2. Drill a 1/16" hole in the seat from underneath not piercing the seat fabric.
3. Weld piece of 1/2" stock across frame at same location where you drilled hole in seat.
4. Drill 1/8" hole in 1/2" stock and then elongate hole with file so that it has an oval shape and is plumb and inline with seat hole.
5. Weld a small eye at base of #16 nail and then weld a 1/8" *** 1" from base of nail so that the nail can pass through hole when *** is turned into oval, adjust as necessary.
6. Push nail through hole the tip of the nail should be 1/16" from piercing seat fabric when extended.
7. Attach one end of spring to eye on nail the other end to the air-box.
8. Now that you have done steps 1-7 you can see that the spring keeps the nail retracted in "The safe mode" To activate use your OEM pliers to extend nail through hole so that the nub is above the oval then one 1/2 turn will lock it in place.
9. Place the "BUM BUSTER ANTI THEFT SYSTEM" sticker on the gas tank.
10. Congratulations you are done. Always remember to deactivate "BUM BUSTER" before siting on bike.
If unauthorized personnel attempt to Sit on bike they will get a sharp surprise and probably run off screaming leaving the bike as is!
Enjoy,
WD

RE: KLX security?
I hate theives. It seems like everything is now fair game to them. Had one just the other night try something my backyard but fled when the flood light came on. Nothing broken or stolen, but makes me want to carry my Glock when I am at home.
As for bike security. I would go with GPS tracker as the best, if not, prevention is the next best thing at stopping theives. The harder you make it to steal, the less chance of them stealing it. Normally, since I work on federal grounds, I can just lock the steering and feel safe about it. And since its only 50 yards away from I work and I am outside, I can keep an eye for anything suspecious.

RE: KLX security?
We use large cables at work to lock our gang boxes and ladders. We found that the lock is the weakest link (ie. easy to cut with bolt cutters) We bought a large cable with a integrated lock and lost the key. I was a real ****** to cut. Tried bolt cutters, cable cutters and sawall. Ended up getting the Torch out. Since then I have been locking my bike with a cable with a build in lock. Not theft Proof but better that a chain.
