Again , a bunch of lucky answers, and a guy that wants a better seat, so he can ride. But, still, we get the run around about some custom crap or idea that someone pawns off as the ultimate answer. Plan on spending 300$ for a sweet seat, that's easily googled. Not some half *** farm boy answer which leaves the guy looking at tons of forums that won't give him an answer either!!!

Sargent!!! A super spendy but awesome seat!!! Red seam striping, the whole works!! Coolest klx seat known to man. Just gotta dish out the cash, and send them your seat. Like I said, super spendy, but it's an answer that might lead you in a different google direction. As soon as I can afford it, my seat will be in the mail to these guys!! THey don't screw around, top shelf!!

That brings a different frame of mind to searching for what you want. I'm not belittling you, far from it!! When I finally landed on Sargent seats, a different aspect popped into my head. I was more detailed in my google searches, just what I was craving, ANSWERS!!! There arte only a few alternatives to really making the klx seat a 2 hour ride luxury, it's terrible how much you have to pay for it. Ya....there's tons of farm boy rigs that people talk about, more padding, different padding, throwin new staples on and calling it good! That's all it is though, they don't care what it looks like, or anything like that, I do!!! So for now, I took that stupid seat strap off, and threw it away. Saving now for my sargent seat!! If anyone knows a better price and same quality..... I seriously wanna know!! Like yesterday!!

For example, "Corbins" even more. 379$ I think they want?? UNBELIEVABLE!! For some padding and a piece of vinyl!! Yes, they do list the klx 250s and show you pictures, but, man that's a sick price!! I remember googling moose seats, bla bla bla, big run around, THAT'S IT, nothing more. I still to this day haven't found anything to remotely spark my interest other then that 300$ factor!!! It sucks, big time!!!

I sent my seat pan to Seat Concepts and they did a great job! I have a Sargents seat for my DR650 and its great also. If you're serious about riding your KLX on longer trips, I recommend getting good seats. They change the entire character of any motorcycle. I think the Seat Concepts was about 160 or so.

I had little love for my Seat Concepts on the DR. Came down to Renazco or XPC for the KLX based on recommendations in my circles. Renazco could give me a Feb build date and no professional deals; XPC will turn inside 2 weeks and offered a pro deal, so I'm going to give XPC a shot. A buddy back east does some pretty long miles on a DRZ4, swears by his Corbin for getting through the long road miles, and says it's still narrow enough up front for standing/tech riding. Something about Corbin has always prompted me to keep looking, don't know why.
