Default KLX Plastics

So im living in Vietnam and managed to pick up a 2004 KLX 250 thats still in good nik and low milage. Only problem is it needs a new front and rear fender and a new original seat cover, then the problem, getting hold of parts for enduro bikes here is not easy. There are millions of bikes here but only a handful of enduros.
Its looking like il need to import from somewhere.

Any ideas???

Cheers!

The plastics are extremely expensive here in Europe and I imagine in the US too.

The bike is produced in Thailand, so I would imagine that would be a good place to get it from, assuming that you can find a Thai webshop selling Kawa parts (Might be difficult)

Otherwise, being in SE-Asia, maybe ordering them from Japan is an option? Not sure about prices there though.

All you people in the US & Europe close your eyes now!

I just replaced all my plastics this month for 90usd from Kawasaki Thailand. That includes the fork guards! They were looking a tad faded etc....Keeps her looking fresh & cheap as!

I have a full set of black plastics & a green mud guard with a green tail piece sitting in my garage! ( all 2 years old & in A2 condition) Maybe we can come to an arrangement if anything takes your fancy? They don't weigh much so postage from Thailand to Vietnam will be cheap.

Joel, you could get quite a sideline going sending "gifts" of KLX plastic around the globe!

90 USD, jesus christ its like 10x that price here!!! What the ****?

Also yes Joel, you could probably make some cash by shipping plastics to people in EU and US. Even if someone would have to pay shipping and 30% Customs tax + VAT to get it into the EU it would probably still be vastly cheaper than paying 1k USD for a full plastics kit.

If I ever do a vaccation to Thailand again I am not bringing any clothes. My suitcase will be filled with brand new plastics and stickers!
