what exactly do i need to do to the airbox lid?

what kind/brand of jets did you use and what size?

also does that go the same for jet kits?
Yea its the 300, mine even has "KLX 300" stamped on it.

You will have to let more air into the airbox, the stock snorkel under the seat is way to small, alot of people intall a high flow snorkel or just remove the snorkel. A few don't run a airbox lid at all. Before my 300 upgrade I used the stock 35 pilot jet and a 124 main jet, also took the air screw out 2 turns. With the 300 in I still used the stock 35 pilot, a 132 main, These jets are from a dynojet kit for a klx300. Also a high flow air filter like uni or k and n is good. Also the same as the klx300. These jets I used was with a full muzzy system. I installed a high flow snorkel and cut a hole in the lid on mine, I didn't like removing the lid completely. Your altitude will also play a factor in your jetting. If you have the funds you can have a shop rejet it for you and have them put it on their co2 machine for correct jetting with whatever mods you will be doing.

14073-1577--------Duct, Inlet (KDX200 Snorkel)

NU-2364ST--------UNI air filter
