Thanks for the advise guys. I have a customer who sells sporting goods so I will go to his place and look for some good inserts.

Going through my garage today I found a few other bits and bobs I had forgotten about.

I had put together an emergency kit for back-road travel, like when you might be stuck for a long time before meeting someone else. I have a new brake and clutch lever set, a new clutch cable and a new throttle pull cable. I recommend taping them in place on the bike so as to simplify repairs when needed. All still in original packaging. Yours for $40 plus shipping at cost. I'll throw in a lightly used throttle push cable, a lightly used front disc brake hose and a set of factory hand-guards if you want them.

Also a 13 tooth front sprocket, still in original packaging and a new, rear 47 tooth aluminum sprocket. $10 each. Shipping will be minimal on those I'm sure.

Repacking kit for a Big Gun KLX muffler. $10, incl. shipping to conus.

I'll take paypal or cheque/money order. Thanks and happy trails.

Correction on the Big Gun repacking kit, when I found the receipt I realized it had cost me $22 plus shipping so I would like to charge shipping at cost for that too. Every dollar helps!

Thumbs up

And while I am up here I want to say thanks to Jim for taking care of the mix-up with payment for the boots. I had emailed him separately to acknowledge that but realized it did not show up on this thread. I do want the forum to know that it was a mix-up on addresses and that he came through, even adding a bit extra for the hassle. Thanks Jim.

If you can verify that the cables would fit an 03klx250 I would probably take them.

Jim, I can not verify that the cables will fit the earlier models but here are the part numbers so you can try to figure it out:

Cable, throttle, opening 7E0500, #54012-0072

Cable, clutch, #54011-0010.

Let me know if that works for your GF's bike and if you want them or not.

Scullen, I did just check your PM and replied.

Thanks guys for the advise on inserts. I stopped by my customers shop yesterday and picked up a pair of inserts on sale. Not sure if the brand. Cut them to fit and test drove the boots for about 75miles. Very Good. Its my opinion that a sign of a good rideing boot is comofortable to wear and feels GREAT to take off at the end of the ride.

Alex
Ill try and figure out if those cables will work on an 03. The 03 is not the gf's bike its a basked case that I was given.
