Jim, no payment has arrived for the boots yet. Seems odd since you got the boots so quickly. How did you send the money order?

Alex I Mailed the $ on the 9th. I actually sent cash which may have been a mistake but I wanted to make it convienent for both of us as money orders are a pain for me to get and sometimes are a pain to cash for such a small amount.
Things usually take longer to get to the states than from the states. If it does not come in the next week or so let me know and I will paypal it to you & eat the loss. Unfortunatly the boots are 1 metric size to large or so. I can use them but I think a pair of hunting sox would make them perfect.

Jim

Thanks for letting me know Jim. I will keep an eye out for the letter. You can also add footbeds to the boots that make them effectively smaller, not sure about Guam but here you can buy them in various thicknesses and contours from Walgreens etc as well as sports shops and some specialty shoe shops.

Jim, on the slightly too-large boots deal, I've used some really nice Spenco brand inserts in the past. They're made in various styles and shapes, and you can find the best selection at places that are big into real running shoes. And on sock choices, if you get a good, thick sock that is a wickable fiber, you don't have as much heat to deal with overall, and they really provide more cushion anyway.

+1 on the Spenco footbeds. I've used them to improve fit. I use them in all my sports footwear; hiking, mountain biking, KLXing. They act as mini shock absorbers for your feet. May seem pricey but well worth. They come in various styles, I'm sure there is one model that will take up just the right amount of sloppiness.
