Default KLX differences throughout the years
Does anyone know what has changed in the KLX 250s over the years.

I believe they 1st came out in 2006, but what changed in 2007, 2008, etc.
I also think they skipped a year?

They came out well before 2006.



1981 with a quick Google image search. Maybe earlier?

Yes thanks--my bike was a 2006---totaled it 2 weeks ago. New 2012 KLX 250s is on order.
I just wanted to know what has changed from 2006--2012

1979. Basically a KX 125 frame with the 250 4 stroke motor stuffed in.
A guy in my club races one. It's a very cool bike, and he's pretty fast on it.

I went from a KLR to a KLX
So the KLR250 became the KLX250S. But they kept the KLR650 name on that bike. A little confusing but I think I got it.

in the 650 size there was the klx and klr during the mid 90's.

I've also seen a KLX 400 which I guess is a sibling of the DRZ?.
