I rode mine in the snow several times last winter. Down to about 20 degrees.

Geeez..........isn't there some law against Kawasaki abuse.

I like riding when there are about 2-3" of snow on the ground...........makes for some very fun times.

Typical behavior of an abuser. Beat it up, then feel bad about it and shower it with gifts.

Ha, love the snow pics. Also, thanks for the advice on jetting - I'll definitely have that done.

I'm still debating S or SF. Keep in mind, I live in the city, and will use the bike on pavement, realistically, 90 percent of the time, so I'm thinking the suspension tuning on the SF is likely to be an advantage. I will ride it home to NH and up north every now and then, but will even then mostly just be doing gravel/fire roads with it, so I'm wondering if I really truly need the bigger wheels/knobbies if I swap the tires to Avon Distanzias...

The S owners are probably going to get on my case for saying this, but I honestly feel that if the vast majority of your intended use is city, the SF seems the right tool for the job. When riding urban streets, I’ll take my SF over any other bike in the garage all day long!

City roads have potholes, holes, and curbs to go over. The larger front wheel will make these bumps smoother and easier to roll over. The SF tires and suspension would be superior on excellent rural roads with lots of twists.

Inner city is often rougher than suburban terrain.

Go S or you'll be sorry.

Get knobbies on the bike, and as far as cold weather, I ride in 20 degree weather to work all the time, of course my commute is only 2 miles. Otherwise if I had to ride farther, I would have to add heated grips and wear a full face helmet.

@deej: “add heated grips and wear a full face helmet”

Agreed!

Heated grips greatly extend your riding season in cooler climates and their warming effect cannot be underestimated. Certainly one of the BEST mods I have ever made to any bike I have ever owned.

As for the full face helmet, there’s just no excuse not to be wearing one!
