KLX changing brake pads

Here is a cross reference of all the bikes that use the same pin as the 2009 KLX250S/SF

For the rear brake.
There is no need to torque the JIS(philips) cover, just to tighten it, the pin is underneath.
And you probably don't need to replace the pin. Mine just needed a little cleaning up with some fine sand paper.
If the pin has grooves in it, that can hinder the pads from sliding easily, then you do need a new pin.
As to the front, take it apart, you'll see. You just need pads. Some grease on the sliders is good too.

brake pads
Some on the reviews on the EBC pads and DP pads lead me to believe they are not worth it.
I can get a set from Adavance Auto, but see no reviews on a KLX using $18 brake pads.
Might try getting the brakes replaced by purchasing them from Kawasakipartshouse. The front and rear brakes are about $50 some dollars a set, free shipping over $50.
