170km from 7.1 litres is pretty good distance i recon for some reason i thought it could do 200km based on fuel consumption but not factoring in wind and other things

I have the Canadian model and from what I was reading on here everyone was saying the air fuel mixture screw is only set around 1 turn from the factory. I just rejetted mine the other day and the screw was set at 3.5 turns out(factory setting) So there must be some differences on where the bike comes from. Also it had a 118 main and 35 pilot. I put a 124 main and a 38 pilot, needle jet on second clip, air mixture 2 turns, half inch hole threw the first baffle in the exhaust, snorkel removed and a 13t front sprocket. Wow what a difference

Thanks for that seth6025.

Sounds like our model is quite restricted also.....

I am using my bike mainly for cost effective road travel - plus the joy of riding it! So i am interested in if you have a take on the fuel consumption before and after your mods...

Also, did you drill the hole in the stock muffler?.... how much noisier is it now?....

Cheers
