I bought a moose 13-tooth almost two years ago for my KLX250S. This is not a new item, and yes it does have the shoulder. I paid under $15 for it from denniskirk.com. Also, the rear sprocket has been available for some time as well. I bought two of them, one steel and one renthal. The renthal was around $55 but the steel one was only $38- both were 45's. The rears will fit anything from a KX to a KDX, it's not exclusive to the KLX. It may be that it is just now getting some individual recognition in the bikes listthat the part will fit by listing the KLX250S as a bike now. If a KLX"S" owner knew their stuff they could've had this stuff before the KLX even came out as both items fit several different bikes among different manufacturer nameplates. Not news to many around here who already have these parts on their bikes.

This is the first that a manufacturer is saying it fits our bike though...

yeah, I realize. But it isn't a newly available part like the original post here leads readers to believe. The front sprocket fits a Ninja 250EX and XR650L and the rear will fit any other Kawasaki large dirt bike or MX bike. They all use the same rear hubs. But it is wise of these companies to now list the 250S as a bike that these parts will fit because most of the owners of these bikes do not have the information that the parts for these other bikes will fit the 250S so they don'tbuy that part for their bike. Now they will and in turn will bring inmore revenue for these mail order companies like PU and denniskirk.

Yep I've noticed that more catalogs/online vendors have the 250S listed in their product lines. Not that its new product, its just come to light that their products ALSO fit this model.
