Default klx 250s mirrors

Hey there, first post here

Im looking into purchasing a klx250s, if i can get a good price new, if not second hand will suffice.

I will most likely be riding on private property, then trails and then the road (rarely)

My question is can you easily remove the mirrors on this bike easily? On the property i ride on, its pretty thick stuff.

I will obviousbly put the mirrors back on for trial and road riding if they can be put back on without much fuss.

Thanks

Yes they are easily removeable. I know of two methods.
1. pull the rubber boot at the base up and use a wrench.
2. Lay it on its side while rideing. This may take more than one attempt.

I have a Ken Sean folding mirror and like it a lot. Just bend it down when you head off road. Check your local laws but most areas only need one mirror to satisfy the law. I can see traffic behind easily with only one.

i just leave mine not very tightened. they stay in place, then when i am off road, i can either turn them in (actually i usually just leave one on), or I just take if off completely, no tools required.

I had emgo folding mirrors but I broke those so I went to the auto store and got 2 stick on fish eye mirrors. One is nestled between the start/stop switch and the other I stuck to a piece of plastic that I zip-tied to the bars. Cost 3$ and they dont vibrate/blur like the stock ones.

I have the folding mirrors, they work great, but I don't really fold them down, I like to see if the last person is behind me at all times, and or if bears are chasing me. YIKES!

Oh and welcome to the forums!

I can't quite picture that. Sounds like a good idea.
I also have folding ones (well, I have 1 left), but they vibrate like crazy.

another method of using stick on mirrors: Buy a bicycle seat post reflector, clamp to handlebar, sticky a mirror on the reflector flat. Poormans dualstar mirror.

I use acrebes clamp on mirrors. I extended the shafts by cutting them in 1/2 and spliced with a longer piece of rigid plastic tubing. Not the best street setup but take abuse in the woods.
