Default klx 250s 351 big bore stock jetting

hello everyone, I have a stock klx250s at sea level. what jet kit or jets will I likely need for this bike? I cannot find the jetting that anyone has used on a stock bike. if you have and I am simply blind then let me know.

thanks!!

Arrow Jetting

Remove the snorkel from the air box, replace the main jet with a 128, replace the pilot with a 35 and turn the mixture screw out 2 turns... This should get you really close.

The stock bike isn't in need of jetting, you jet for mods. If you are wanting it to run better you can add a slip-on and at least like with my FMF it didn't require jetting for that mod alone and this was the first step in souping the bike up. I then added a performance airfilter and airbox mods and jetted for the changes from stock and it got even better. Most people have not found the need to mess with the pilot jet even with a 351 kit. Dynojet kit 2182 is a good kit with a number of jet sizes. A call or email to dynojet will result in some good info on what your trying to do.

I would have to disagree sir.... As delivered stock my bike was terrible.... It didn't start well and was so lean it could barely get out of it's own way... After doing just the mods mentioned above I could run neck and neck with my buddies bike (also a KLX 250) who had a full exhaust where before he would leave me for dead! Now granted slip on pips, BBKs and air box mods will make a much larger difference but if you just want to make the stock bike better as cheap as possible I don't know of a mod you can do cheaper that returns better results! This is just my 2 cents...

FWIW the stock pilot is already a 35.

Get the dynojet kit suggested above and follow the instructions or give DJ a call. when you get the big bore you will probably need to bump the main up a size or two and readjust the pilot a bit.

The stock needle is terrible and the DJ kit will make a huge difference just because of the needle profile alone.
