Not sure what I'm going to sell the KLR250 for just yet. Still playing with keeping it round - for just the thing you mention.
Here's the 'Little Ones' sitting side by side.
The KLX250S is taller than the KLR250.
Here's a 'Before' and 'After' shot of the bike. Changed out the handlebars to a set of Renthal aluminums so I could mount some functional handguards.
Plans for future modifications? Probably an Acerbis Supermotard front fender. I just like the looks of them. Most likely in black. If you look at the KLR250, you will notice the blue one. I think it would look awesome on the KLX, don't you?

Yea the fender looks cool, but, and this is the obsesive compulsive dude in me talking, the color looks different than the seat, LOL but that's just me.

Yes it does!
No excessive compulsive behavior on that observation!
But the one in BLACK will match the color of the KLX perfectly. I have a black KTM replacement fender on my KLR650 and I've already taken a look at it. Might snap a pic later today and post the KLX with a KTM front fender. Should look quite good.

I just got my new KLX250S a few days ago. As far as I know I am the only one in Miami to have one. Called a bunch of dealers in the area, most had no idea when they would see one. Went through the cycle again and sure enough one dealer said he had one in the warehouse. I looked at all the other dual sports out there (200 - 250) range and bang for the buck, well built and quality parts the KLX250S is hard to beat. Hope everyone that is looking to get one get theirs soon. You're gonna love it. Great bike!!! A buddy of mine just got the Suzuki DR-Z400. I tried it nice bike too, but the seat is seriously high. After he saw the KLX he said wow maybe I should have waited and got what you have.
