I apologize, I didn't realize you two were such techs. You're right, I never work on my bike and pay others to do such minor things as remove sidepanels/shrouds/seat, and even adjust the chain.

finger, thanks for pointing your cylinder out. I was trying to figure out what it was. I see now that you DID do your own work on your big bore. I wish I could look at pictures and turn wrenches while reading. Now, what's that sylvan learning center's phone number?

 

Thats ok If you want me to loan the money to you and for me to do the work that be okay. Hey theres a sprocket thread available now or a thread pertaining to the vast differences between the 06-07 and the 09.

 

It depends the country , klx250s is the same model with the Australian klx250r ,
LX250E was started also my number in my klx250es ( the one with e' start , with the kdx200/220 forks , steel swing arm , and klx250sr speedo ) .
There are many many different models of klx250 !

 

Also klx250R was the race model in '94-98 in EU , it was like the US '94-'96 model , but this model also came to Greece with the "kdx like" forks . There is also the klx250d , looked like klx250s but it had the kdx forks , kick start only , steel tank , klx250s odo , steel swing arm and the rear suspension had only adjust for the spring pre load .

 

Oh yeah.. Im not sure what mine is lol.. That is the problem.. Mine is a 2007 Japanese Spec.. And the frame number starts with LX250E..

To my knowledge the only different KLX models are

KLX 250S
KLX 250 D-Tracker
KLX 250R?

 

I know there are :
KLX 250SR , USD forks , steel tank , "R headlight , keys/ignition in the side of frame , small blinkers as D--Tracker , only a speedo .

KLX 250R 'US model

KLX 250R with kdx forks , in Greece the fist they came they had these forks , i don't know for other countries .

KLX 250S The one we all know since '06

KLX 250D kdx forks , speedo like 250S , no battery , steel swing arm and the worst rear shock..

KLX 250ES Engine like 250S -'e start only , keys/ignition in side of frame like 'SR , kdx forks , steel swing arm and the beautiful small blinkers like 'SR/D-Tracker . Like the one i have .

I also see a klx like the 'S but it has kick start only and has also a battery ... saw couple of them in eBay.uk .

Also the D-tracker .
