You can always go with the quicker turn Zeta throttle tube if you swap out.

Look at the routing under the tank. I think I tucked mine in on the right side between the frame and tank to get good routing. Under the tank just looked like a bit tight on the bends. I did go with one cable at the time I switched throttle tubes, because the closing cable had a rough looking kink at the carb. Never put the cable on.

Some riders bend the mount at the carb and drill to get a quicker turn, has to eliminate the closing cable.

Mine were sticky from PO. Thought routing was suspect but what ultimately solved the problem was copious lubrication of both cables. A lot of dark gray gunk came out the other side. After flushing & lube the throttle snaps back like my old two strokes.

the throttle will work ok until I tighten the two screws holding the throttle tube up. Then it binds up. So that is why it seems to me like I am putting it together wrong, or the ramp is worn out.

I will lube the cables some more. It seems so simple how the thing goes together, I am having trouble figuring this out...

Mine did that when reassembling. The tube/housing/cable assembly is tricky to get just right. Pull it apart and try again. Eventually all the pieces will align and you'll have a snappy throttle again.

Well, I took the return cable off, and now the throttle snaps back really smooth. I think I could replace the return cable and get it working with two cables if it was absolutely necessary. The head of the cable was a bit twisted and had one broken strand an this cable condition might have been causing the cable end to twist in the throttle tube, making the friction inside the housing. I could see the cable end was worn away on one corner where the twist in the metal cable was forcing it into the housing. I am satisfied with it the way it is now, although I did not want to run with only one cable at first. Thanks for the help!

I think I have the whole assembly with both cables. PM me if you are interested in replacing yours.

I would need the carb too. Where the return cable hooks to the carb, the bracket on the butterfly is all bent and crooked. The PO must have pulled on it really hard to bend it, also stripped the screw heads on the float bowl, so some crappy effort taking the carb out to clean it. The carb had one completely plugged venturi and blocked pilot jet, as the air filter boots were not attached properly and probably sucking sand. I had to use a twist drill in the jet to break out the crud. I hope I did not make the hole any bigger! The bike is running perfectly in my opinion now.
2 and 1/8 turns on the air mixture.

The PO must have stretched the return cable and wrecked the throttle tube, and the little plastic ramp. There are broken strands at both ends of the return cable. It is out and will stay out, as again, the whole end where the return cable hooks in to the carb is bent. It works fine. "Snap" right back to closed every time. Thanks everyone!
