klx 250 sf
Hello. Last week I was in Death Valley, Ca. and I saw a klx250 sf sitting in the parking area for a hike to Darwin falls. It was on 4-6-2016. This bike had large Continental knobbies on the front and back. It kinda looked like a TW200. I was wondering if the owner of that bike was a member of this forum as I would like to ask him some questions. ?
Thanks

We have all the information you could ever want regarding "dual sport modding" a SF.. But you should do some searching in this KLX250S "arena" for your answers - I'd start by searching the top sticky "Lets post some pic.." for "KLX250SF" and find the members that have what you're looking for, then PM them (personal message) or search for all their posts on the advanced search page...
But then what do I know.. Yall CroMags have the "biggy" frontal lobes..

After experiencing how the 21 knifes into DEEP soft sand, I'm thinking a 120/70 would have been a bit better... More floatation on soft surfaces like that. The advantage of the Yamaha TW200 in sand. I could have used a TW in the deep soft sand of Michigan two years back.
I will say they would suck on most other off road surfaces short of hard pack, in comparison to the standard 3.00-21 though.
