Shoots, looks like the jury is unanimous..it's cut the tail off the donkey fender!
Now, anyone have suggestions for a good quality rack for behind the seat? Just wanna be able to carry small to medium bag sometimes on trips back from town.
Many thanks for all the great ideas!

Like you I don't carry a lot on my bike. For light loads I love my rack.

Nomadic Rack works well for me... relatively inexpensive too.

I went with the larger rack from Home - Cycleracks.com - Your Motorcycle Rack Solution and I love it. Its about 190 bucks shipped but I could put a Yugo on it if I need to.....

Thanks for the rack ideas fellows..I'm still in the process of choosing.
Wondering if you guys also know about the possibility of painting the plastic body parts..will automotive paints stick well enough to these vibrating plastic parts?

Why paint it, it's just going to get scratched-up if you do any off-road riding.

True that, but I was thinking of some custom painting, just for fun and expression..if it scratches off, I can just do it again in another way..not super keen on stock color scheme.....

Say Rgoers that looks really clean,,nice job. Do you see that it helped with the fender flopping?
I did a modification on my rear fender assembly..just shoving some padding under it didn't do the job; still flapped like crazy on rough roads. So I took it all apart, drilled two new holes thru that plate welded at the end of the tubing frame , put in 'fender' washers and aviation locking nuts..and no more flapping, even on roughest roads..and that's with the 'whale tail' still there.
Thanks for all your good ideas folks, much appreciated, and there is my solution to this annoyance.
Overall great bike so far....
