Default KLX 250 Rear Fender Flops

Anyone also have the rear fender slap against the plastic body? Know how to properly fix that problem?
Thank you!

Have you trimmed the whale-tail down yet? Mine doesn't flop, but I have trimmed down the rediculous giant thing that came on it from the factory.

Wink He he he..funny that..

..hadn't yet occurred to me to start carving up my day one old bike, but you might just be on to something there! Rear fender/taillight assembly seems very poorly attached; didn't take much off-road to loosen it up plenty.

I used the Dremel Cutting wheel with a traced patten...sand/smooth edges and you are good...the lense is made to bounce a little so it doesn't break.....

Lawyers put that goofy fender on there, removing it, or part of it, is one of the first "mods" that most KLX owners do.
Get cutting

Sounds like a rear fender circumcision is in order!

I posted the process I did on mine... but the search feature seems to be hosed right now so I can't get you a link to it.

Here's what mine looked like when it was finished...
